If you have to wear a mask, then wear the right one!

Sperrer face back | mouth-nose-coverage

> idea & advantages
> technical specifications

Due to the more stringent requirements for Mouth-Nose-Covers in several European countries, we have improved ‚face back‘ once again:
An even more ergonomic adjustment to the shape of the face allows the mask to fit even tighter and thus ensures an increased protective function. In the course of this, we have also made the shape of the mask optically more homogeneous.

In the meantime we have also developed a small version for smaller facial shapes and applied it to the market.

Whether we like it or not … Corona will probably be with us for a lot longer than we would all like. For our own protection and, above all, that of our fellow human beings, it will be necessary to wear Mouth-Nose-Covers in the future too.

For this reason, the Sperrer company has been developing transparent masks for some time. With ‚face back‘ we have now achieved the perfect mix of protection, comfort, easier breathing and the recognition of our face and facial expressions when wearing the mask.

The goal of ‚face back‘ is to help people who are forced to wear masks for several hours a day. Almost every one of us is confronted with the problems that the wearing of disposable masks brings with it.

From € 6.80 net per mask for an order quantity of 50 pieces

What is the idea behind ‚face back‘ and what advantages does our mask offer?

  • Breathing
Easier oxygen supply due to the defined distance from the face to the newly developed support points. The used breathing air is diverted through the ergonomic adaptation of our mask to your own body.
  • Protection
‚face back‘ reduces the risk of droplet infection due to the complete coverage of the mouth and nose as well as a more comprehensive coverage of the chin compared to existing masks and face shields.
  • Communication and facial expressions
Due to the clarity of the PET material used, your face, your facial expressions and thus something very important again … your smile … are recognizable. Our hearing-impaired and deaf people in particular now have the opportunity to make themselves understood again.
  • Comfort
With our completely new attachment concept via support points on the cheeks, we want to avoid the previously common, rather annoying, attachment points on the nose or chin.’Face back‘ can therefore be attached behind the head, using elastic thin cords without brackets or complex fastenings and can be variably adjusted to the desired length with special stoppers that ensure a firm hold. A pleasant wearing comfort experience is therefore given for every hair length. In contrast to conventional mouth and nose covers, our minimal contact surfaces are designed to reduce the risk of skin irritation.Due to the air flow of the air we breathe, people who wear glasses benefit from the fact that the glasses do not fog up.

Our new cord attachment concept allows a variable positioning of the mask on the face.

Cleaning

‚Face back‘ should be cleaned when dirty and at least daily.

This can be done with commercially available handwashing soap and water, but also with alcohol-based disinfectants, whereby the manufacturer’s instructions must be observed.

Frequent cleaning of the mask can wear off the anti-fog coating over time. The use of an anti-fog spray can help immediately.

Safety instructions

‚Face back‘ has no filtering effect and therefore only protects to a limited extent against aerosols, gases and the like.

It is forbidden to wear the mask for healthcare workers. The same applies to any orders from German State Health Office, according to which the wearing of mouth and nose covers is prohibited.

If the mask is damaged of any kind, we recommend that you dispose of the mask, especially due to the risk of injury from cracks.

Extract from a letter from the Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care (StMGP):

„According to the instructions of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) for users on the handling of ‚community masks‘ or so-called everyday masks, the masks must be correctly placed over the mouth, nose and cheeks and be as close as possible to the edges so that the flow by to minimize air on the sides. The nature of the material has to hold back the distribution of droplets into the environment. It does not matter whether it is a non-transparent mask, a transparent mask or a mask with a viewing window. “

Sperrer has set himself the task of meeting the requirements of the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) cited here as well as possible.

In contrast to other clear masks and face shields, we have not only extensively adapted the face back to the shape of the face in the nose and mouth area, but above all around the cheeks and chin, in order to prevent the emission of aerosols as closely as possible without neglecting the aspect of free breathing.

Note:
According to the StMGP letter dated September 8th, 2020, there are no individual examinations or releases of ‚community masks‘ by the StMGP.

References to such releases are not permitted.

Extract from a letter of the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs dated 06.11.2020 concerning the requirements for community masks:

‚A certain quality (regarding material, material density, size, shape and wearing method) of the MNB is not prescribed in the BayIfSMV. A community mask represents adequate coverage if it either lies flush with the skin all round or if a gap is left between the mouth-nose cover and the skin which is only large enough to allow comfortable breathing. This is why, for example, MNBs made of transparent material also comply with the BayIfSMV if they do not lie 100% circumferentially and flush with the skin, provided they meet the formal requirements mentioned above. Visors (face shields) do not constitute a permissible substitute. In Bavaria, everyday masks that comply with the BayIfSMV can also be used in occupational safety‘.
